Liverpool International Jazz Festival
Liverpool International Jazz Festival (LIJF) was established in 2013 by Liverpool Hope University, and in previous years has included performances from some of Jazz music’s leading lights. The emphasis of the Festival is on contemporary instrumental jazz in a variety of styles with a focus on presenting work from an international selection of world class artists, taking audience members on a musical journey that traverses numerous genres and cross-genres.
The last incarnation of the Festival took place at The Capstone Theatre from Friday 26th Feb 2026 to Sun 1st March 2026 inclusive. The Festival comprised concerts from a stellar line up of artists including Tim Garland and Geoffrey Keezer, David Helbock and Julia Hofer, Zoe Rahman and Arun Ghosh, Robert Mitchell's Little Black Book, Martin Taylor and Marius Neset Quartet.
LIJF Fringe 2026 took place alongside the Festival in venues across Liverpool City Centre, including the Baltic Markets, Quarry, Hobo Kiosk and Commune, with all sorts of exciting events, grassroots artists performing and opportunities to play.
