In this lunchtime concert, Liverpool Hope University Big Band under the direction of Dr Tom Sykes will perform a varied programme.

Invited students from local secondary schools will also perform, including some joint items with the Big Band.

This is the culmination of workshops led by tutors from Parrjazz in an outreach project to provide young musicians who would not normally have access to jazz with an opportunity to participate in jazz and improvisation, as well as to play in a large ensemble with more experienced players. The intention is for the students to gain confidence, learn new skills and understanding about jazz, be creative and above all, have fun doing so!

Admission is free and the concert will last no more than 1 hour.
